We have large indoor suites (6'x5') for any size dog, as well as two 6'x5' indoor suites with attached 5'x5' outdoor runs for large breed dogs or multiple pet families. Our cat condos (3'x2.5') include an elevated perch and are located in a seperate room for decreased noise and a low-stress environment.

We also offer a variety of other services to meet the needs of your furry friends, including bathing, nail trims, ear cleanings, and anal gland expressions. Ellie's Critter Corral is owned and operated by a previously certified veterinary assistant of 10+ years. Kaitlyn also pet sat for individuals in their homes during her time as a veterinary assistant. With over 10+ years of experience in the veterinary, pet boarding and pet sitting industry, we have gained a wealth of knowledge and expertise in caring for pets of all shapes and sizes. We understand the unique needs of each pet and their owners, and we work hard to exceed their expectations.
At Ellie's Critter Corral, our mission is to provide the highest level of care for your pets while providing peace of mind for their owners. We strive to create a safe, comfortable, and fun environment for all pets in our care.
Ellie's Critter Corral was not a new build. The building was previously a milking parlor! For those local to the area you may remember it as Bode Dairy. The "Bode brothers" owned and milked dairy cows on this property since 1850. The farm has been handed down through generations and my father in law, owned and operated the Dairy from 1981-1999.
This specific milking parlor was built in 1985. We started a complete remodel/makeover on the building last year. Please keep in mind it is still a work in progress and I have so many plans and goals to accomplish in the future! Over time there will be additional play/exercise areas, continued renovations, new painting on the exterior of the building(hopefully this spring) and if needed more kennel runs built. All those things of course depend on the success of Ellie's Critter Corral and we greatly appreciate your support!
Hi, my name is Kaitlyn. Ellie's Critter Corral has been a dream of mine for the past few years and it is such an honor to serve this community. Animals have been a huge part of my life from a very young age. Growing up my parents had dogs, pigs, chickens, rabbits and eventually horses after I begged them until they finally gave in. I cannot remember a time I didn't have a pet. When I was 15 years old I started an internship at my local vets office. As soon as I was able I got hired as a veterinary assistant and continued working as a vet assistant for many years. I have worked in general practices, emergency hospitals and with large animals and exotics. My original goal was to be a veterinarian and in fact I was enrolled in Mizzou University's Pre-veterinary program until I found out I was pregnant with Ellie. Due to the pregnancy being so high-risk I dropped out and my whole life turned upside down. God had a differnet plan for me. I am so blessed to be Ellie's mom and am grateful to have this opportunity to honor her.
My husaband and I were blessed with our Rainbow baby in June of 2022. Some of my favorite things to do when I'm not at the kennel are: Spend time with my family, go horseback riding, go camping, and take our dogs to the river.
I hope I can honor Ellie and make my girls proud in all that I do. Thank you so much for your support and letting me serve this community!
